The Sister is Home!

After 18 long months of serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, my beautiful sister returned home on February 20th. I feel so lucky that we were placed so close to home. Between family events and holidays, I am really soaking up these great times with the people I … Continue reading »

A Christmas Surprise

Santa sure had a few surprises in store this year. And by Santa, I mean Sarah and Dave. We had been hiding a little secret since just after Thanksgiving and thought that Christmas would be the perfect time to pop the news to family. There was a little gift on the way that would turn … Continue reading »

Home: It’s where the magic happens

Thanksgiving is over. The turkey has been massacred. The stuffing devoured. The Christmas decorations hung. And the tryptophan hangovers are slowly subsiding. Now we get to look back on the memories, and oh how thankful I am for them. We were able to drive the 8 hours up to Reno to spend Thanksgiving with my family. … Continue reading »

The laundry could wait

Friday evening I frantically pulled the laundry from the drier as the in-laws rolled into our little cul-de-sac. With hugs and smiles, the basket was dropped at the edge of our bed, forgotten for a whole two days. We were so happy to have David’s parents in our little humble home and to have them … Continue reading »

A Day in LA

Living in Southern California has opened up to us a whole new world of family and friends. I was so excited to see my aunt and uncle again after almost five years. They were still just as wonderful as ever and nice enough to give us the grand tour of their “Mayberry-esque” dream land, tucked away in … Continue reading »

I Want S’More!

Fire, cousins, sugar … it doesn’t get much more fun than that! We even invented a new delicacy. You roast your marshmallow, gently pull the crispy shell off and stick a bar of chocolate in the middle. Then prepare for melty deliciousness!

Fire in the Sky

While walking Grandma and Grandpa Glenn to their car after Sunday dinner, these little beauties lit up the sky in David’s aunt and uncle’s American Fork neighborhood. Out came the blankets, lawn chairs and popsicles. … then the Black Cats and Spinners. Thanks unknown neighbors for a fun (although questionably legal) show!

We like to shoot things

David picked up the pellet gun Monday night for a little fun with the starlings. They were stealing the worms mid air from the Robbins so it was time for them to DIE! After about 20 shots and a lot of taunting from the bird, he finally got one.

Watch out America – the Glenns are Back!

“An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.” Watch out America. We’re back! After two years of constant change and moving, the convenience that comes with home almost feels weird. I mean, isn’t life suposed to go all crazy on us soon? So far, America has been … Continue reading »

Out of the mouth of babes

While hanging out with a few kids at the Limes After School program today, a little boy slipped this ripped piece of paper into my hands.   Now I happen to know that I was not the only one on the receiving end of his piece of paper and bashful grin. But if this innocent … Continue reading »
